Determine single newsletter trigger (posts, events)

    Dear all

    I am using mailpoet to send out updates about two types of content: posts and events (using the events manager plugin). In general there is no problem, mailpoet works fine.

    However, I would like to achieve that the newsletter is only sent out when there are new posts, not when there are new events. In other words: upcoming events should be displayed in the newsletter, but never trigger newsletters to be sent out.

    Is that possible in the free version?

    Can you do 2 tests for us?

    1. Check if you are on the latest version of MailPoet
    2. Does this problem happens when you have only Events Manager and MailPoet Activated? This might be caused by a conflict

    If you are good on both of the tests, reply and I will create an issue about that in out Tracker, because in my local tests I wasn’t able to reproduce your bug.

    Yes I am using the latest version.
    Not sure whether your second question really tackles the problem.

    MailPoet works fine, my question is rather on a functionality: Can I design a newsletter in a way that it is triggered by new posts but also includes all new events (events are actually static pages)? My current newsletter is triggered either by new post OR by new events – i.e. sometimes a newsletter will be sent out only containing new event descriptions (which is not my intention).

    So the question is on what triggers the newsletter.

    Sorry, I cannot provide much info as I no longer manage the site that I set back then.

    But it was not a problem to get events manager and MP work together. There is an option in MP to include new events (when you set up the newsletter layout).
