No file found! While I am looking right at it

  • No such file! Double check the name and try again.

    I could not find where to edit it except in plugins/editor. The file is there, I bring it up and see it in my editor. I edit by adding a comma then deleting it as a test.

    What could be causing this?

    [Not bumping. Trying to give more info]

    • This happens on iPad and Windows.
    • Someone suggested chmod 777 from. 644. Tried it but no difference.
    • I’ve triple-checked the file name, the directory name and everything is correct.

      • I rarely edit from within. I find it safer to back it up to my machine, edit, then if I broke the site I can FTP the original file back. I’m just curious why I can’t edit
