Using wp post categories

Hello,
Is it possible to use common wordpress categories with owl carousel somehow ? I’m going to make a “Latest Post” field on home page like at this template, “https://preview.oklerthemes.com/porto/3.1.0/index.html”, but also want to have those post in “Main” page categorie. Then I don’t have to write another css rules for slides posts.
How to do it without clone posts? Is it possible ?
