Hi Mick,
sorry for the delay – but maybe you have found the answer to your question in the FAQ at https://www.wplab.com/plugins/wp-lister/faq/ already.
The general answer is: Yes, you can use WP-Lister with WooCommerce and WP All-Import. I can’t tell you whether it will be easy to set it up, but in my eyes, the WP All-Import setup is more technical than installing WP-Lister.
I’ll quote the related question from the FAQ – which I’d recommend to read to learn more about the inner details of how WP-Lister works. Whether WP-Lister will update the listing description depends on whether the item is locked or unlocked (default) – which is explained in great detail in the FAQ as well.
Can I update my inventory from a CSV file?
Yes, you can. WP-Lister currently supports these CSV import plugins:
https://www.woothemes.com/products/product-csv-import-suite/ (paid)
https://github.com/dgrundel/woo-product-importer (free)
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/woocommerce-csvimport/ (free)
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-all-import/ (free)
Updating an existing product from a CSV file will be very much like updating the product manually in WooCommerce: Unlocked listings will be marked as changed while locked listings will have their price and inventory updated instantly, resulting a slower import process. Please keep in mind that your products should have unique SKUs – for variable products, each variation needs to have a SKU as well.
Let me know when you have any other questions.
kind regards,
Matt
