Removing access to Updates page messes with access to admin page
-
I only want to give my client’s access to an events plugin so that they can add events to their website calendar. However, I realized that taking away their access to the Dashboard messes things up when they login.
So I gave them access to the Dashboard and Dashboard – Home page, but not the Updates page. However, their account still sees an error upon login that says, “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this admin page.”
I see that they are being directed to /wp-admin/profile.php upon login. If I drop the url to just /wp-admin then they can see the Dashboard Home page and the Events plugin just fine.
Is there a way to restrict access to the Updates page without causing this error?
Thanks in advance!
