Media Images Not Working

Some of the media images in my blog posts will not work. They do not appear (just a box with a broken image appears where they should be), and when I click on the images, I get the following message: We cannot complete this request, remote data was invalid. I have contacted my hosting company who claims it is a WordPress server problem. I had Photon activated in my Jetpack. I deactivated it and tried the images again but without luck.
