• Hi,

    This is about filminquiry.com.

For the past two days I’ve been having some serious issues with my website’s front-end login. What happens, exactly, is the following:

When I try to login via the front-end of the site (filminquiry.com, login button at top right), I enter my credentials, and hit log in. The page refreshes, and I’m not logged in. The admin bar does not appear, and I cannot access member-only parts of the site.

When I log in via wp-admin, I can log in just fine. I go to the back-end admin dashboard. However, when I, while logged into wp-admin, browse to the main site (filminquiry.com) it still shows I’m not logged in. The admin bar does not appear, I cannot access member-only parts of the site – despite being logged in. I’m thinking there’s some sort of breach between the back and front end of the site.

I know it’s not the theme, because when I change the theme to 2014, 2013 or 2012, the same problem persists. When I deactivate all plugins, the problem persists. When I change the theme AND deactivate the plugins, still, I can’t login. I’ve done an overwrite of all wordpress and theme files – I still cannot login via the front-end.

I’m pretty much at my wit’s end, I’ve tried googling the issue, browsing for the issue here specifically and on my theme dev’s support site. Nothing works. Does anyone know what’s happening here? Help ??

I’m having exactly the same issue here since yesterday!

I tried deactivating all plugins, changing themes, clearing cache/cookies…but nothing would change,

Could this be related to the hosting package I’m using? (1and1 in my case)

Were you able to fix it?

    Thank you!

I’m also experiencing the same problem with my website.

I’m from Belgium and on another hosting package, so that can’t be the problem ??

Also tried everything you guys described and nothing works either..

It’s unlikely that you two are experiencing the same issue, please create new threads: https://www.ads-software.com/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting#postform

But dear Andrew, manoneileen describes it PERFECTLY WELL, I really think we are experience the exact same issue…

Then you can say “I think I’m experiencing this guy’s issue” in your thread (and link to this thread).

I think it’s not that unlikely as if I’m also experiencing the exact same issue. I’ve posted a link in my thread to this one.

All you can know is you’re experiencing the same symptom. If you find the root cause of manoneileen’s issue, and you’re using the same environment (themes, plugins & hosting configs) then you can say you’re experiencing the same problem. And even then saying “me too” isn’t that great.

I just found a solution for my problem (maybe it will work for you to):

Check your sites URL in the DB. Mine was set (when I setup the website) to the NON www version of the website.

Solution: Log into your PHPmyadmin – go to the wp-options table – find the siteURL and make sure it corresponds with your redirects or URL links.

    Hope this helps for you.
