    Word Press 2.0.6

    I have my blog set under options/reading to show 10 posts. All of a sudden it’s now showing 50 posts per page (virtually all posts to date).

    I’ve reset and reset it and it still shows all posts.

    Is there a way to troubleshoot this and/or fix this?

    Can anyone suggest a fix?

    Options -> Reading

    Top option is “Show at Most” (which you’ve mentioned). However, below the number field is a combo box to toggle between “days” and “posts”. Make sure you have it set to “posts”?

    That’s the odd thing, it’s set to 10 posts. The only change I’ve made has been adding in a plugin for copyrighted feeds. I think I’ll try to deactivate it and see if that makes a difference.

    No difference … shows 50+ posts and 6 pages in total when there are just 58 posts in total.

    Anyone? I’m desperate!

    Ok, I narrowed it down to breaking when I upgraded to 2.0.6. Today I upgraded to Ella and it was still broken, so one by one I deactivated the plugins, and sure enough — this was (poorly) designed so that the sidebar shows up via WP-PAGINATE plugin. If I deactivate it, I have no sidebar, but just 10 posts.

    The only version available is an old one for 1.5.

    So … I told the designer (if he responds) to either code an upgrade himself (LOL) or do the design without a plugin, which is my preference.
