  • Hi Sarah,

Thanks for the great feedback! We’re actively working on ways to improve the share buttons on mobile without compromising the experience for readers. With that said, the dev team is aware of the problem and are finding ways to make the buttons useable in a way it doesn’t interfere with the text. Again, thanks for the feedback!

I just discover this today. The half of my traffic is coming from mobile devices. I consider this a serious issue. I’m deactivating shareaholic till you’ll let us know about a fix.

    Hi @devinsider,

Sorry to hear that! At this time, we’ve removed the floated share buttons completely from mobile so it doesn’t overlap the content on your site. Currently, if the screen on your device is over 400 x 700 pixels (e.g. tablet), then your floated share buttons will appear automatically in portrait or landscape mode. This requires no disabling of the floated share buttons. Let me know if you have any questions about this. I’m happy to help.

    Thanks,
    Mary Anne

I am having the same issue. Floating sidebar keeps on showing on mobile now. Here is my site https://wereblog.com

    Plugin Author Shareaholic

    (@shareaholic)

@wereblog try clearing your browser cache to ensure you’re running the latest version of Shareaholic. Floated Share Buttons should not be showing on mobile. If it is still doing so after clearing your browser cache, let us know!

Im facing same issue on my site jokerry

Still today, it’s overlapping with the text of my posts, when viewing on a Galaxy S5.
Isn’t there a way to automaticly show the floating buttons below the post when viewing on a mobile device?

Because even smartphones have screenresolutions bigger then 400×700 …

Hi @geuravanmallard – we’re actually working on a mobile version right now that will display the floated share buttons at the bottom of the screen. This will be released sometime within next few days.

As for the Floated Share Buttons appearing on your Galaxy S5, we fixed an issue recently that removed it. Do you mind clearing your browser’s cache on your device? Let me know if it’s still showing up for you.

    Thank you,
    Mary Anne
