Multiple images disappearing

Hi
I’ve created a custom type which (among other fields) contain an image field, allowing multiple instances.
I’ve defined the type “Page” as parent for this custom type.
But: When the client changes any text in the parent page, all images for the child products (except the first one for each) disappear!
Am I doing something wrong – or is this a known bug?
