Update failed and site is not working

  • HI,

    I clicked on UPDATE and it failed. Now the site is not working. Any help would be appreciated as I’m completely lost!

    That’s strange, I moved all the plugins out (in a new folder) and the site is loading again as you said.

    Ill bring them in one by one and see what happens.

    just check your website again (all pages), as you said you moved all the plugins out. Maybe some of the plugins doesn’t work.

    I put all the plugins back in, it looks like ‘W3 Total Cache’ was the problem. I deleted the plugin from the FTP. Front page works, Lots of pages don’t & Can’t get into Admin page either. I get the following error:

    W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /hermes/bosnaweb03b/b2440/ipg.splinebombcom/wp-content/advanced-cache.php.W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place.     Site is back, the hosting company helped be fix this! Thanks Alainski for your help!
