    I’ve installed on my laptop both WordPress 3.8 and WordPress 3.9.1 local sites.

    But when I try to add theme on WordPress 3.9.1 local site I get this error

    “Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to www.ads-software.com. Please contact your server administrator.)”

    The same doesn’t happen when I try from WordPress 3.8 site.

    Any ideas or help?

  • This is usually a server issue – sometimes caused by a failure to compile PHP with cUrl.

    Why don’t you just drop unpacked theme folders into wp-content/themes?

    Yes, this works but I’m afraid I cannot use all functionalities

    Maybe WordPeress 3.9.1 has bugs ?!

    There are no bugs of this type in WordPress 3.9.1. This is specific to your install.

    I’ve tried some solutions, I still have problems but I’m running WP locally not on a remote host.

    So I come back to WP 3.8 this works.
