Just another can't access dashboard of sites problem
-
Hi all,
Yesterday I decided to install WP Multisite. So I installed a fresh copy of WordPress on my (shared) hosting and followed the instructions.
Note 1: I already have a working WP Multisite with the same hosting provider on a similar shared hosting.
After installing Multisite I added a new site and I can’t access it’s dashboard and the site itself doesn’t load any styles. Link.
The error I receive when trying to access the dashboard is: ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS (link)
So I’ve seen numerous posts regarding this problem, and tried everything including the Cookie bit in wp-config and just about every version of .htaccess I came across.
My current .htaccess is:
AllowOverride All RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L] # uploaded ?les RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)??les/(.+) wp-includes/ms-?les.php??le=$2 [L] # add a trailing slash to /wp-admin RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?wp-admin$ $1wp-admin/ [R=301,L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d RewriteRule ^ - [L] RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(wp-(content|admin|includes).*) $2 [L] RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(.*\.php)$ $2 [L] RewriteRule . index.php [L]
My current wp-config is:
/* Multisite */ define( 'WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE', true ); define('MULTISITE', true); define('SUBDOMAIN_INSTALL', false); define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'nipoma.nl'); define('PATH_CURRENT_SITE', '/'); define('SITE_ID_CURRENT_SITE', 1); define('BLOG_ID_CURRENT_SITE', 1); /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */ /** Absolute path to the WordPress directory. */ if ( !defined('ABSPATH') ) define('ABSPATH', dirname(__FILE__) . '/'); /** Sets up WordPress vars and included files. */ require_once(ABSPATH . 'wp-settings.php');
And my web.config is:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <configuration> <system.webServer> <rewrite> <rules> <rule name="WordPress Rule 1" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="^index\.php$" ignoreCase="false" /> <action type="None" /> </rule> <rule name="WordPress Rule 2" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?wp-admin$" ignoreCase="false" /> <action type="Redirect" url="{R:1}wp-admin/" redirectType="Permanent" /> </rule> <rule name="WordPress Rule 3" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="^" ignoreCase="false" /> <conditions logicalGrouping="MatchAny"> <add input="{REQUEST_FILENAME}" matchType="IsFile" ignoreCase="false" /> <add input="{REQUEST_FILENAME}" matchType="IsDirectory" ignoreCase="false" /> </conditions> <action type="None" /> </rule> <rule name="WordPress Rule 4" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(wp-(content|admin|includes).*)" ignoreCase="false" /> <action type="Rewrite" url="{R:1}" /> </rule> <rule name="WordPress Rule 5" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(.*\.php)$" ignoreCase="false" /> <action type="Rewrite" url="{R:2}" /> </rule> <rule name="WordPress Rule 6" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="." ignoreCase="false" /> <action type="Rewrite" url="index.php" /> </rule> </rules> </rewrite> </system.webServer> </configuration>
I’ve checked my DNS records, database and removed the https://www.. There are no active plugins, the only themes installed are TwentyFourteen / Thirteen and Twelve (all updated). The options tables in the database are filled out (again without www.).
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
