Sortorder in Add Media using NextGen Gallery is wrong

    I’m having a problem with the sort order on the Add Media using the NextGen Gallery.

    Click Add Media
    Select from NextGen Gallery
    Get the list of Gallery, select the one one I want
    It then shows me the list but it’s not in name order. I see
    Toronto00200
    Toronto00181
    Toronto00180
    Toronto00179
    Toronto00010
    Toronto00090
    etc.

    What is the sort order, but more important, how can I get it to do in order by name.

    Plugin is 2.0.65

    @qvmarine – There may be a missing step in your workflow when sorting your gallery to ensure it is properly rendered under the Add Media view(s).

    I just retested this process …

    Go under Gallery > Manage Galleries … click on gallery to edit. Click the “Sort Gallery” button (if it does not appear you may need to reset the Gallery > Image Options … custom sort order option). Once you have sorted and applied the changes, clear the image cache under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous.

    This worked correctly for me but it did require I actually apply a specific sort order to the gallery first.

    Yep, missed that I had to kill the image cache.

    Good to go now, you can mark this resolved.

    @qvmarine – Thanks. For the most part, any significant change to settings … or order in this case … should be followed by clearing the image cache.
