I’ve been using your bar for at least 1.5 years now. I’m glad you’ve aggressively updated to align with WordPress coding model.

You really need to get documentation to help us know how to modify it to blend into our sites.

It looks UGLY on my site now and I don’t have hours to sit and play with styles, CSS and the like to make it look professional in my site again.

    SO I SHUT IT OFF!

UGLY, thick, black bottom line. I put the “no bottom line” code you suggested in another’s post at end of my theme’s style.css. The code doesn’t get utilized, so the black bar is still there.

The open / close “x” is super ugly. We should have options or sample codes to quickly work with.

The height of it is ugly with nothing easy for correction — you should give us examples of how to adjust bar height, background color, bottom bar, open / close icon, etc.

Not all of us have years of coding experience, nor the time to play trial-and-error.

I do appreciate your coding efforts though and I have enjoyed using your plugin for the past years.

Hi kelliepatzer, thanks for the complement sandwich.

    All feedback is appreciated!

You mention quite a few things here, some of that can be addressed from within the edit/add bar screen (the bar editor).

I encourage you to spend a few minutes looking at the new options there.

Q: Is it possible to remove the line under /over the bar?
A: Yes, just set the color of the line to the same color as the bar’s background*.
Do not use CSS in your theme for this as the new plugin is all NEW code.

Q: The open / close “x” is super ugly. We should have options or sample codes to quickly work with
A: You do have the option to not hide the bar, just like the old bar, set the option Hide Bar* to NO

Q: The height of it is ugly with nothing easy for correction
A: I have answered that question here:

cjaeger sorry about the slow response I am taking a few days off.
I can’t see the bar so I assume it’s not running today but the problem you described is caused by the extra padding your Theme adds to P tags.

I will issue a correction to this on the weekend.

A: I am happy that you have enjoyed my free plugin over the last 1? years that’s great. I also know your time is valuable, as is mine. This plugin has literally taken 100s of hours over the last two years. I really love WordPress like a bear loves honey so this is how I try to contribute back to this great community.

I honestly don’t have the time to write up documentation for every thing that this plugin can do. I will add some more Qs & As to the FAQ as new questions come up but don’t hold your breath here as I am not a copywriter – I lack that talent.

If you or anyone else who likes the plugin sees a way to contribute, like copy writing or translating I would welcome them to the project!
