• Hi,

I’m new to WordPress and my goal is to use the domain and hosting I previously bought with Weebly and connect to WordPress, so my new WordPress template and content would appear on the domain I have already bought rather than the Weebly content.

I have access to the DNS and Nameservers but I can’t seem to find the info I need to transfer it to WordPress.

I’m hoping someone can explain to me how the process works.

    Thanks!

  • I am not clear on your reference to WordPress, but I believe you have come to the wrong place. If you mean that you have a WordPress template and content already on wordpress.com, then you should be looking here for help: https://en.support.wordpress.com/

On the other hand, if you really do want to install and take care of WordPress software yourself, you need to first find a web host like those listed here: https://www.ads-software.com/hosting/ Each company will have documentation on how to transfer Name Servers to them.

Well see the thing is I contacted Weebly as they host my website and they said I would have to speak with WordPress on how to point my website to WordPress.

I’m still not clear on whether “my new WordPress template and content” is located on wordpress.com or somewhere else. I need to know that before I can help you.

If you are not sure, please provide a URL so that I can see “my new WordPress template and content”, and hopefully I can figure it out for you.

Each company will have documentation on how to transfer Name Servers to them.
