• Hi,

I stopped receiving ALL my contact forms on from this website:
    https://www.mednurse.co.za

The last email in my inbox is from the 17th of June.

I know that people have been sending me things because I can see it in my analytics conversions, but no emails!!!

What happened for it to stop working just like that? I did not change anything.

Also, is there any way to retrieve the emails that were sent from the website but never landed in my inbox????
    thanks

I actually checked if it works with a different email address and it does, but when i change it back to the initial email address nothing comes through…

    What could have changed?

Have you spoken to your hosts to check if they are filtering out any email addresses at their end?

we are using outlook 365 so we dont have a host anymore. We checked the online account as well and nothing has come in, no filters set. We have lost about 40 leads due to this ??

I have set a different email address for it, just a yahoo email address and it works, but if possible, we would really need to retrieve those forms that were sent from the website and never received, since then!

    thanks

I can send test messages but only certain ones will go through. [email protected] will work but [email protected] won’t. Seems to be picking and choosing. The server says they are accepted and delivered? Putting hotmail or gmail on the end works but not yahoo for some reason?

Yep, definitely just won’t send with yahoo in the your email field. Anything buy yahoo in that field works fine.

I’m finding the same thing. I tested gmail.com and yahoo.com emails in the “from” address and they haven’t been received. Testing outlook.com worked fine.

I just installed this plugin today, and it took 4 different test emails for me to get it to work. It acts like you can’t receive messages at the same email address you use for WordPress admin, which is really annoying. I also discovered, by mistake, that you can’t send a message from the same email address that you have set to receive the messages. Understandable, I guess.

I would really like to be able to use Contact Form 7 without having to change my admin email address or have to set up another email address specifically for this purpose. The email address I have set up as my admin is the email address I have set particularly for this website.

I would hate to have to go look for a different plugin just so I can use my preferred email. It seems like this would be the one feature that would be consistent across all contact form plugins.

Though the plugin successfully sends millions of emails every day, there are a host of issues that can stop or delay emails on both the sending and receiving ends. It depends entirely on your local Server & WordPress configuration. You will need to investigate this issue for your particular local configuration.

See https://contactform7.com/setting-up-mail/#Contact_Form_7_Email_Issues. Most people that work through this information appear to be able to resolve their email sending & receiving issues. ??

    Hi buzztone,

thanks, have put in a different email address. Nonetheless, the forms from the weeks before, where the emails were not sending are lost. It is of UTMOST importance that I retrieve those somewhere, as this issue has otherwise cost us A LOT of business. Is that possible? Are those messages stored somehwhere?

RE: Are those messages stored somehwhere?

No – CF7 just sends emails??, no data is saved.

Consider using a submission storage plugin like Contact Form DB to save all your CF7 form submits to the WP database. These are often used by experienced WP users as they provide a robust record of all form submissions even when things go a little wrong.
