This is not a bug in the plugin.

    Then what is it?

Please explain how to have the other terms on the page get picked up and linked to the vocabulary page

    Dennis,
Can you please answer my question. I really want to use your plugin. And I paid for the pro version.

    Please help me???

    Dennis
You closed this again, its like the 5th time you’ve closed this as being resolved without answering the question.

    Please answer the question.
How do I have your plugin locate all terms on a page that have been entered as terms???

    Thread Starter John Case

    (@jcase9986)

    Dennis, again you closed this.
Why can you not give me an answer?

Kinda interested in seeing the answer also. Just calling it “not a bug” isn’t any help! I’m calling “not an answer” to your “not a bug”

I find it too incredible to believe that a vendor doesn’t allow the paid buyers any redress for a failed/defective product. There should be a way to punish or ban such [remark redacted] who don’t answer a straight-forward question and instead close the mail thread.

Guys please be reasonable in waiting, it’s the weekend. Also note that plugin authors aren’t required to give you support, although it’s great that some do.

Edit: Please note that this forum is for support regarding the free versions of plugins distributed on www.ads-software.com. For any commercial plugin please contact the author directly.

@jcase9986, you can control whether your thread is resolved by selecting an option from the dropdown list on the sidebar of your thread (to the right if you’re on desktop), titled “This topic is”.

    Hmmmmmm….
    Freeware —> gets support, sortakinda
$$ware —> no support (“contact the author who is not required to provide support”). Sounds upside down. Sure makes me want to buy more (not)

    Andrew,
Thank you for getting involved. I keep opening the thread as you suggested. Dennis keeps closing it without responding. That is why I responded above that way I did about Dennis closing the thread. As a Moderator you should be able to see the history.

I don’t think my question is out of line. This same scenario happens in the free (limited) version as well as the paid version.

I’m not trying to be a pain or a spammer of this thread. He has absolutely no contact information that I can find. In another thread Dennis addressed me as Joseph. The only way he would know I’m Joseph is by referencing my purchase of the plugin. I asked him to contact me since he has my email from the PayPal purchase in the other support thread.

I made a choice to purchase without support. I did not think that would mean that I get less support then the free version gets. That’s why I’m here.

I may consider buying support for the paid version. But there’s a catch… I’ve paid for the plugin. If you want support you have to pay full price for the same plugin with support. There should be an option to only buy the support. Since the day before I just bought the plugin.

With the history contained here, I would really have to think hard about buying support when he knows I paid for the plugin and is ignoring me.

I just want the plugin that I paid for to work as advertised. Dennis said it was not a bug. Then please explain to me why it will pick up and highlight some terms on some pages and not others. The same terms. Some get picked up others don’t, but do on other pages.

I don’t think I’m being unrealistic in wanting an explanation as to how it’s supposed to work. Especially since I paid for it.

More accurately someone keeps marking it “resolved”. Closing the topic is another thing entirely.

I made a choice to purchase without support.

Fair enough. But if the plugin author is only doing paid support (and that is 100% acceptable, plugin and theme support has always been optional) then I’m afraid that’s the way it is.

I don’t think I’m being unrealistic in wanting an explanation as to how it’s supposed to work. Especially since I paid for it.

I’m sorry but I am afraid that is unrealistic. This is the reply that I post when someone seeks support for the paid version in these forums.

For pro or commercial product support please contact the author directly on their site.

As the author is aware, commercial products are not supported in these forums. As you are their customer I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there.

That means full stop: commercial products are not supported in these forums.

If the author did attempt to support his paid customers in these forums then he’d get a tap on the shoulder asking him to not do that again. If the author didn’t get the hint then other folks would get involved.

You can seek support in these forums for the version of the plugin in the WordPress repo but if you paid for a plugin and made the decision to not obtain support then (again) I am sorry but you are seeking a reply in the wrong place.

What’s the issue here, Jan? Someone pays in full for a plugin and it isn’t working, but the seller doesn’t even allow the buyer to lodge a query on the plugin sale site. If you want the seller to just listen to you, pay one more time otherwise shut up. That’s the reason buyers desperate to get an answer to a simple question use this space – they haven’t got an alternative. And this is the site where they probably got introduced to the plugin in the first place. If this site decides to wash its hands off this encyclopedia plugin, its sales could fall to maybe 10% of the present amount. The seller’s behavior is unethical, to put it very diplomatically.

The issue is that you and others are looking for feedback from the author for their commercial product.

As I’ve already explained that’s not for these forums.

I’m closing this topic now as it’s not my intention to argue about what’s in the forum welcome.

Again if you have a commercial product dispute with the author then please take it up with the author directly.
