Images aren't clickable and captions don't got the inserted link

Hello,

I’ve been having problems with my images not being clickable {hyperlinked} a few weeks so I started doing captions but now when I do a caption and make it hyperlinked to a link, the url of the actual post is inserted to the hyperlink. I went in to check the hyperlink and ensure that it was entered correctly and it was but when you click on it there is the original post url included with the hyperlinked url which causes the url to not work.
