Hashtags Enable/Disable

I was wondering if you could perhaps provide me a possible solution for my following question being:

Is there a way to still show the #hashtags after the url when you click on a link with an anchor? I’ve got a site with lots of relinking and subpages where anchors are used to divide multiple sections and entities so having your smooth scroll plugin is great for making it prettier however without the hashtags it gets rather annoying for linking people something specific (as it now doesn’t appear in the url bar anymore).

So is there a way to re-enable it or could you perhaps make some sort of checkbox to enable/disable the hashtag behind the url?
