How do I separate custom and regular posts?

  • Trying to add a blog page to a company website. The problem is the website was using custom posts on the homepage and now they are appearing on the blog page too. I want posts on the blog page but I don’t want the custom posts to appear there. I’ve created a regular post but it won’t appear on the blog page. How do I separate the custom posts from the regular posts so that the custom posts will appear as they normally do but the regular posts will only appear on the blog page?

  • Hi, are you using a template for the blog page or are you setting the blog page up under appearance settings ?

    Hi there! I set the blog up using a template from another page on the website and then in Custom under appearance settings I designated the blog page as the posts page.
