• Hi,

I am using Dropbox to host my pdf files that I am selling in my shop. I have marked the products as both downloadable and virtual. I have copied the url for each individual product stored in Dropbox and entered it in the url field in the product listing.

However, when i test buy one of my products and try to download it I get a 404 – the url does not exist message. However, when I copy and paste the url address into a browser window it works perfectly.

Does anyone know why this is not working in my woocommerce shop?

    Thanks,
    Karen

  • I think you may need to use the Redirect Method here.

That is what I am trying to do. However, when the ‘link’ is given to someone who has paid (says download your product) the link goes to the 404 message even though the link when pasted into a browser window works.

Do you know of somewhere other thwn Dropbox (thwt is easy to use as I am not a tech knowledgable person) to host my pdf files? Should it really be this difficult??
