I have a existing blog and now i want to install multisite. The existing site should move to a sub-blog and the main page should be a blank page.

When i activate multisite, my existing blog will always be the main site. I tried to create a new sub-blog and tried to switch the main and the subblog but i didn’t find a way to do so.

The Site edition-essentials.com should become bar.edition-essentials.com and a new site should be created on edition-essentials.com

    Any Idea?

    Ugh. Must it?

There are a couple ways to do this, but neither is really super easy and friendly. One would be to switch the sites after you make Multisite, and the other would be to install Multisite, let the current site be what it is, then make a subsite for bar, manually export (via the WP exporter) content and import it over, customize the site, and then wipe the content from the main site.
