• In the scroll of thumbnails by Zemanta under the post area (when in WordPress Editor) there is quite a number of highly relevant posts from my site which are not showing.

I wonder if this might be because of similarity of names, and the software only “reads” the first couple of words eg on mine I have something like:
    Stan’s Story No 1
    Stan’s Story No 2
    Stan’s Story No 3 etc

As far as I can work out this stage these are the main missing posts in the scroll (but there may be others as well). Obviously I want to have links from one to the others.

Any brilliant ideas to help with this?

  • Hey, thanks for reaching out, although I believe you are posting this topic under the wrong plugin page?— did you mean the ‘WordPress Related Post’ plugin? You posted this under the ‘Related Posts for WordPress’ which sounds similar, but is a totally different plugin.

Since you’re mentioning Zemanta, I’m guessing you are using our plugin, which is why I’ll gladly help you out, but we will have to move this conversation over there. Sorry about that, but these are the rules of www.ads-software.com Plugin Directory page.

Any chance you could post this topic on the plugins correct page? Also — which is the blog in questions, we’d love to take a closer look, in order to help you out better.

    ‘Related Posts’ plugin page: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/related-posts/

As far as your related posts under your editor are concerned?— there are only a few of your related posts displayed over there, but which ones are showed only depends on the text / content you have entered, since we are looking for those most relevant. But mainly we plan to show those quality, related articles from around the web over there, since your own related posts are already inserted under your blog posts automatically.

Also — you can re-edit those related posts that are inserted automatically via that big orange button called ‘Edit Related Posts’. There, you can search through all of your related posts and rearrange them anyway you like them.

I’m guessing this is the feature you were looking for in the first place, but do let me know if this is not the case or if I missed anything out.

Looking forward to your reply, since I’m very eager to help you out as soon as possible! Take care & have a nice day!

    Best,

Brilliant…thanks for the comprehensive answer. Embarrassment..I should have noted the Orange button for editing by myself.

    Thanks again,
    Murray

No problem at all Murray, it happens to everyone and I’m only glad I could be of any help to you, if I’m being honest.

Do let me know if you have any more questions in the future (on our plugin page) or if there’s anything that’s not absolutely clear, since I’ll gladly assist! Take care & enjoy your weekend!

    Best,
    Silvo
