• Hi,

I downloaded and installed the latest stable version of WordPress. Edited the config file, uploaded it, did the setup steps, all worked fine.
Configured it, edited settings, did a first posting, selected themes.
    No prob at all.

But now, all of a sudden, when I was in the Options settings and pressed the save button, I got this ugly “Internal Server Error” page. Since then, for every page, be it the config GUI or the normal page view. Everything seems to be lost.

I removed all files from the webserver, I dropped every wp table and tried to reinstall it — to no avail. Still just the 500 error.
Other pages on my site that work with the same DB (but other tables therein) still work fine.
And any other (non-dynamic, non-DB) pages work fine, too.

It’s only wp that doesn’t work anymore — even after a reinstall of the files and dropping of all tables.

    Isn’t that strange?

Unfortunately, my hoster doesn’t seem to supply me with the webserver’s (apache 1.3) error logfile (just the access logfile). ??

    Anyone any idea?

    Thanks a lot,
    Stefan.
