Archives instead of Comment area

  • All was working well until yesterday…people managed to post comments (as you can see on the sidebar). However, now everytime I click on commments I get the archives page or a 404 error (tried with different templates so the pb seems to be the code)

    I have ticked the permalinks back to default. This opened the comment area for people to write. I can see the comments inside de dashboard, they show in the recent comments as a number but when I click either on the comment title on the sidebar or on the small comment print under the post title, this takes me back to the post and you cannot see the comments (it says no comment and gives the link to the permalink of the page)
