• I’ve had 4 unrelated technical issues messing up everything I touch in the last 2 days so any help to dig me out of this hole will be much appreciated lol.

I have a membership website which was recently moved from a separate domain to a new subdomain and the site now uses Wishlist Member to run the members area. All my Wishlist settings are correct and their support team have already confirmed that it’s not a wishlist problem.

The initial problem I was having when I tested a member login, it would login fine but all of the member only content that was supposed to become visible when logged in, was giving a “sorry, you must be logged in to view this content”. I contacted Wishlist support to confirm I had the settings right and they pointed me in the direction of it being a problem with cookies but I am out of my depth in that area. Here is the error they were getting when they logged in…

I did some research and cookies are WAY beyond my knowledge. The best I could come up with was resetting the Authentication Unique Keys and Salts in Config.php. Maybe it was a coincidence but the problem went away when I tested it again. I finished up the site and sent the new details out to members and it appears as though people are still having the same problem. I just tested it again and the problem is back, the only visible page is the members dashboard, all other content is blocked.

I have setup a temporary login for anyone who thinks they can help…

    Un: temp
    Pass: temp1234

    Members login here: https://members.workontherigs.com
    Normal site login: https://members.workontherigs.com/wp-login.php

Thanks in advance to anyone offering solutions but please dumb down your responses if you are talking about cookie info, very keen to learn but I could get lost if it’s too technical ??

Narrowed the problem down to an issue with the login widget on the home page sidebar because everything works fine when logging in through /wp-login.php

Have put a temporary solution on the home page, the widget that needs to be fixed is now showing on a temporary page here https://members.workontherigs.com/temo/
