Left Sidebar Menu Issue

Each time I make a change to page within my site, the left sidebar menu changes to a default “contact” menu instead of the custom category menu I made. It appears correctly when I initially create a page, but when a change or update is made, it automatically switches from the custom menu to the “contact” menu.
It’s annoying having to go back and change the menu to the correct one over and over again. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
