I upgraded to fruitful 2.0 yesterday and noticed the slider I had wasn’t working anymore.

I looked here and found that the slider settings had changed: so I removed the [fruitful-slider] code from the home page and tried to change the setting for the slider from “Disable slider” to “Full width slider” in the drop-down menu from the slider settings.

Unfortunately, I cannot save the setting: when changing it and press the “update” button for the page, nothing is saved. The setting remain at “Disable slider”.

Any idea what I forgot to do?…

  • Same here. I am new to WP.

I do not find “Disable slider” to “Full width slider” in the drop-down menu from the slider settings. could you please show some light?

OK, I see here that I am not the only one: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/what-in-the-world-1?replies=14

But topic has been flagged as resolved, whereas the only resolution proposed is to start with a clean install in order to avoid conflicts!

I think it would be normal to get a proper resolution, as I don’t want to re-install everything.

I cannot save the slider setting too..

    Any idea?

I tried to deactivate all my plugins, and nothing happened… (except I lost all my jetpack stats :’-( )

I cannot downgrade to the previous version, since when I upload the zip file for fruitful 1.4, WordPress tells me “the folder already exist” and abort the installation…

I don’t want to uninstall the theme and delete it, as I would have to configure again all settings…

    Any other solution, someone?…

At the moment we don’t have a solution or fix how to resolve this problem on some WordPress setup, where appear problem with save meta boxes data. Please wait new theme version or downgrade to previous Fruitful 1.4

    e20,

You can download previous theme version and rename their folder on fruitful14, for example. In this case you can upload theme without “the folder already exist”

Indeed, I was able to get back to fruitful 1.4 by renaming the folder in the archive and get back to normal.

    Thanks for this trick.

I’ll wait for the next version.
