How does one add ‘YouTube’ to a blog post

  • I am running a WP blog.And I am trying to figure out how to add a ‘YouTube’ video to a post.
    First what code do you need to copy,the url code or embedded code.
    Second where do you place it and how.
    I have tried to copy and paste direct to the the post,did not work.
    Next I tried clicking on the add photo icon located on the toolbar above the post,did not work.
    Anyone know….

  • I just tried this by pasting the Embed tag in my blog.

    Im pretty sure you need to disable the WYSIWYG editor in order for it to accept the HTML correctly.

    (Click User and then scroll down and uncheck the “Use the visual rich editor when writing” box)

    I am not sure what you mean do I go to dashboard,click on write,(or) then where…
    can not seem to find the box to uncheck
