    Hello:

I’m using a child theme of Customizr and WP 3.9.1. I just updated to the latest version of Customizr and my link button isn’t working when I edit in a post.

    My site is https://www.dentzfarm.com/

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.
    Cathy

  • Can’t see where a link button is being used? Can you give a more precise description. I’ve looked on each Page…

    Hi Dave:

    I’ve created a new post:
    https://www.dentzfarm.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=154&action=edit

Sorry, it isn’t visable yet. I want to create a link from the words “Avaliable Now”, a page on the site, in the first bullet. I know that I’m supposed to highlight the words and click on the link button in the menu and then paste the URL, but the process isn’t working.

The link takes me to a Login page. Don’t give out any Username/Pwds here!

Anyway, I’ve emulated what you’re doing on my test site and it works fine, so not a Czr issue.

Did you try the Disable All Plugins test yet?

    Hi Dave:

I tried disabling all plugins and using the Customizr theme versus my child theme. It doesn’t make a difference. Three strange things are happening that weren’t happening before: my Facebook Like Box isn’t updating (I did a separate post), I can’t add links to other pages on my site and I can’t remove a feature image from a page/post.

I also tried clearing my the history/cookies on Google Chrome. I’m not sure what to do next?

If I remember correctly, Nic produced a new snippet for you?

Try taking out that code and see if it fixes anything. Just trying to eliminate possible causes.

Are you using a caching plugin?

Yes. W3 Total Cache. It came with my hosting package.

Have you tried to clear the cache using W3TC?

Just spotted this which might help if you don’t understand the complexities of W3TC.

It’s fixed, but it doesn’t appear to be the cache. With my hosting support, we disabled W3 Total Cache and Sitelock and it didn’t make a difference. Then we tried adding a new plugin–Use Google Libraries. This solved the problem. From what I understand, now I get the vast libraries of Google versus the java script from the WordPress Library (which maybe isn’t as current/have as much in it–not my words). Something changed after my last update because it was all working before.

This solved the link button and feature images problem. The Facebook Like Box wasn’t broken, but I thought it was because a photo was updated and not text. It only updates text!

So once again with all of your help, my site is back on track.

    Thank you,
    Cathy

P.S. Dave the link above to the Admin Flush W3TC plugin gives a warning that it hasn’t been updated in 2 years.

Thanks for pointing that out, didn’t read that far!
