Comment Notifications Not Working

  • Hi out there. I haven’t been back here in months because everything has run so smoothly with my WordPress install. Unfortunately, now I am having a real problem and I hope someone can help. I do not receive email notifications from my blog. I have read 20-30 solutions and tried them all to no avail. I have: Deactivated all plugins and tested a comment from an unregistered email. The comment shows up in the dashboard but there is no notification.

    I have tried everything. Does anyone have any advice on how I can get notifications again?

    Little bit more info will help:

    – version of WP?
    – Theme?
    – what type of notification? notification of Followup comments? Or notification of new comment to the edmin?

    – Are you using any plugin for comment notification?

    Latest version of wp
    TwentyEleven theme, modified with a child theme
    Notifications don’t work for any comment that comes through.
    I am not using any comment notification plugins
    I changed the theme to default 2010 and still no notifications

    Hope that fleshes it out some

    check Admin – Setting – Discussion

    if you have ticked:

    E-mail me whenever” “Anyone posts a comment ”
