WordPress Calendar: Next/prev month

  • On my site: https://diezijnburo.nl/wordpress/ I’m using the default WP calendar as a widget in the right sidebar. I’ve been able to style it a bit but now I’ve run into a problem:

    The calendar shows the dates that have posts, these are highlighted with a blue circle. One is on 8th of august and one in June. That’s why underneath the calendar ? JUN appears. So I figured this calendar only shows the next/prev month if there are any posts in that month. Also it only shows the month that has any posts, so the month July is excluded…

    Is it possible to have the monthly navigation show always? So that it shows next/previous month in stead of just the months that have posts in them?
    And if so, where do I make any changes?
