Shortcode [portfolio_slideshow] displaying as /* in post preview

    My theme (evolve) displays the first few sentences of each post on the main page.

    Whenever I put the [portfolio_slideshow] shortcode in the first few characters of my posts, it shows up as the characters /* in the post preview on the main page. I don’t think the issue is with my theme, as other shortcodes for other plugins don’t seem to cause this problem.

  • Is there any chance that some of your files have been corrupted, suggest that you:
    -download a new zip plugin file
    -delete the present plugin files
    -upload a new set of files

    Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I have just tried that and it still does not fix the problem.

    I have been trying to see if the portfolio-slideshow/inc/shortcode.php file contains any bugs that might cause this, but haven’t come up with anything. Might I be looking in the wrong place?
