My theme has stopped working

Hi James,

Your stylesheet returns a 404 page.

However, you’re saying that in the Appearance > Editor the stylesheet is not missing. Did you check if the folder permissions are still correct (please see Codex)?

Thanks for your help so far. I’ve followed the Codex link but I’m pretty sure my hosting is different to that.

Here’s what the designer of the theme said when I first asked him about it. Maybe this will help:

The theme works fine, it is just that you have probably deleted some files from the theme’s folder.

Looks like everything has been deleted from the sub-folders of the theme, like /images/, /js/, and even the style.css from root, which cannot be found.
Here’s an example:

https://rivercottageteesdale.com/wp-content/themes/castello/js/superfish.js

Things like these are not caused by the theme.

Does this clear anything up?

It’s not finding any of your files.

Have you tried contacting your hosting company for help?

Perhaps you can log in to your web hosting control panel and check the permissions for those directories on your domain?

All directories should be 755 or 750.
