Possible that PostRatings would work differently

I downloaded and installed the plugin and if I understood correctly it works with PostRating so that when you rate some post you will get karma point, correct? Would it be possible to change it to work so that the author of the post get’s the point? I could do modification myself (is this in github?) but just want to ask that would this be possible, how big change it would be?

Does PostRatings achievment also work on all WP network sites?

How about adding support for other plugins? I was thinking to look if I could add support for football prediction plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/football-pool/
So that each time when user scores points there, he could get achievments too.
