I am trying to put a working copy of my blog onto my laptop.

Xampp is installed and working fine. I had a sandbox of WordPress running a while ago.

I have followed the instructions on https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/move3/ explicitly, TWICE.

This includes editing the backup.sql file to reflect the change in URL.

When I load the site afterwards I get just a blank page. I am able to get to https://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin without a problem. All of my plugins are there and activated. All of my themes are there, and all my posts and comments etc are there.

When I attempt to change anything I get the following error message:

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\widgets\widgets.php:2294) in C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-includes\pluggable-functions.php on line 270

Both my site and my laptop have WordPress 2.1 installed.

Anyone who has any suggestions can email me from the contact page on my site.

    Thanks!

It sounds like your site/database are still attempting to contact your computer, so something’s not right.

(By the way, responses to your questions should be posted here. Otherwise, you’re kind of asking for help while suggesting that you won’t return to read responses.)
