Comments made on posts not showing up on Dashboard

I am receiving emails about new comments awaiting moderation, however they don’t show up in my Dashboard.

I just called blue host about this issue; they were, however, not able to help. The tech rep I spoke with logged into the backend, but couldn’t find anything wrong. He submitted a test comment on both a page as well as on a post, but only the comment made on the page showed up on the front page after having been approved:

I have been able to submit a “test” comment on this same page, which made it into my dashboard for moderation, and also showed up on the front page.

When trying to do the same for a post, I only get the email notification about there being a comment, but then it doesn’t show up on the Dashboard!
