Background image not displalying

  • I uploaded a background image but it is not displaying (not showing). I have tried various dimensions, the original was huge, 4491×3361, so I tried 782×585, and 750×561, but neither of those worked.

    I also tried various settings, e.g., Repeat, Repeat Vertically, No Repeat, Fixed, Scroll, in different combinations, but that did not help.

    What should I do?

    I created a child theme, which seems to be working well for everything else.

    I really like the theme. :O)

    Hi Mark,

    Thanks for using the theme and sending your issues in the first place.

    Is the image visible in the customizer bar (on the left) after you have upload it? If not, make sure your wp-content/uploads/* folder is writable.

    I found indeed some issues with the preview, when using the customizer. I will try to fix these issues asap.

    Try to upload an image, press “save and publish” and reload your website (and the customizer) by hand.

    I will let you know if the preview function for the background image has been fixed.

    The ‘preview’ function works fine. I can see my image in preview. It does not show on the website.

    I tried again today. I removed the image and uploaded it again. I reloaded the customizer and the website, but still no image on the website (it shows fine in preview).
