Using The Loop in a Page Template

    I have created a page template that I want to show posts in. I put in a “mini loop” using the post query, but would rather just run The Loop.

    I tried dropping The Loop in there, but it didn’t seem to work.

    I recommend you check out Creating a Static Front Page, The Loop in Action. A query may be your best bet, though.

    Yeah, I am running a Query now, showing the 5 most recent posts. This creates two problems.

    1 – The comments link doesn’t show up below each post like it does in the loop.

    2 – I have an event calendar plugin installed, and when I make a post to the Events category, it doesn’t get called into the loop, but it does get called into the query.

    I assumed the Loop could be used in any page since it seems to be self contained.
