• I don’t want to assign multiple authors as users on my site. I will be editing and approving each post before it is posted, but don’t want my name shown as the author when I’m not. How do I do this?

I just posted an article written by a bi-polar patient that is helpful to my readership. But the article shows me as the author. I think the problem with this is apparent. My site is https://reflectrelaterenew.com

  • Hi Blampl,

You best bet is to change the author manually to who you want it to show. If you editing a post, look for the tab in the top right of the screen called “Screen options”, open that and make sure “Authors” is ticked.

Once that’s enabled scroll to the bottom of the page and you’ll see the authors meta box where you can change the author. The author will need to be a user but you don’t have to give them their account details if you don’t want them logging into the site.

The other option is to sift through the theme’s code and remove where the code is printing out the authors name on the posts page.
