• I have installed and activated this plugin in a multisite. In my multisite each child site has a separate domain name using the Domain Mapping plugin.

    In the dashboard of all the child sites BruteProtect is showing the stats with the following message.

    BRUTEPROTECT HAS STOPPED xxx MALICIOUS ATTEMPTS TO ACCESS {my mainsite}

    Also when I log into https://my.bruteprotect.com/dashboard it only lists my mainsite under “YOUR PROTECTED SITES”.

    So I have two questions

    • When activated in a multisite with custom child domain names does the plugin protects against attacks on all sites or only on the main site?
    • Are these stats only for the main site or for the entire network?

  • Interested in the answer to these questions as well, I’d like to add one more:

    • Will the use of domain mapping (allowinng sites in a network to ahve their own domain) influence the protection and stats of this plugin?

    Hi Sudar and RavanH

    Our stats track the attacks on your network. We can assume that if anyone is successfully able to log-in into any of your sub sites using a network administrator username they’d access the entire network.

    So while the stats are network wide, we are protecting each site.

    @jesse,

    Good to know that my entire network is protected.

    A small suggestion. May be you could include some text in the dashboard widget that says that the stats are for the entire network and not for the single site. Lot of people seem to be confused about it, especially if the sub-domains are mapped to seperate domains.
