change websitetitle & link color (on hover)

Hi there!

I would like to make some colors changes. Tried many things, so far no luck. Hoping someone could help me out with the codes for the following color changes:

– of a link when you hover over it

– of the website title when you hover over it (the title ‘matheson’ in a unchanged theme)
I actually think I changed this once when I was still working in the twenty twelve theme, just new to wordpress, 4 months ago. Really no idea where I did that (if I even did).

I do not have a child theme. Prefer to make these kind of changes in my custom css when possible, or manually per page. Or on the stylesheet. Page not yet online.
