• I get this error when trying to customize my theme. I am running the Churchope theme and have verified that it is not their problem. I have been able to deactivate the simple staff plugin and the error goes away. Please advise….

    Error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare get_plugin_data() (previously declared in /home/corner17/public_html_soar/wp-admin/includes/plugin.php:72) in /home/corner17/public_html_soar/wp-admin/includes/plugin.php on line 106

    Hey dsisk112 –
I don’t believe this is a Simple Staff List does not contain the function ‘get_plugin_data().’

This may be due to an error that occurred when you updated WordPress. The error refers to a core WordPress file, plugin.php. If an error like that occurs within a plugin it will look something like the following:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare get_plugin_data() (previously declared in /home/corner17/public_html_soar/wp-admin/includes/plugin.php:72) in /home/corner17/public_html_soar/wp-content/plugins/__PLUGIN_NAME__/__FILE_NAME__.php on line 106

Try reinstalling WordPress on your server and it should fix the issue.
