Rating widget is not working properly

  • Hey nice plugin and great work.

    1. Can you please help me out to know why rating widget is showing this ? please check link. I have changed settings of widget to show highest. I am using short code for respective page but widget is showing for different page where I did not use short code and did not even rate that page. why it is showing in sidebar even i did not give rating for that page.

    2. Can I add title and message box under ratings? like we have here topic title and message. don’t want any options just a simple message box.

    1. I don’t get what you mean by the first part of the message, what shortcode are you using?

    “why it is showing in sidebar even i did not give rating for that page.” – It is done on purpose and that is the reason why it is showing no ratings. I got a lot of request wanting to show posts with no ratings as well

    2. You mean for user to enter message and title? If that is the case, it can’t be done because the plugin doesn’t cater for extra fields.

    thanks for ur reply. If you check that link provided by me, you will see that in sidebar it is showing ratings for those pages where I did not put shortcode. I am using shortcode only for testpost page which is [rating]. I added widget in sidebar and put its settings as highest rated. but it is showing those pages as well in sidebar where I didn’t put shortcode.

    and can you plz suggest me any plugin which have title and msg box like we have on wordpress when we review plugins ?

    #1 That is the correct behaviour. The the ratings widget will display ratings for all post regardless whether you inserted the ratings into the post. For post that doesn’t have ratings inserted into them, it will always have 0 ratings. This is on purposes because I have many users wanting to show posts with 0 ratings.
