  • what exact error do you get?

    Hi @hypwoman,

Hope you’re doing well today! ??

As @dolliv mentioned, if you could let us know the error you’re seeing, that’ll definitely help get it sorted.

I’m unable to replicate a script error so it could be that there’s a plugin or theme conflict. You can switch to Twenty Fourteen theme and deactivate other plugins to see if that’s the case. You can then switch plugins on one-by-one to find the conflict.

Any additional details you could provide will help in getting it resolved though.

On the other hand, should you simply wish to revert to a previous version, you can access previous version files through here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/custom-sidebars/developers/

Hope that helps, looking forward to ensuring this is sorted for you! ??

    Cheers,
    David

I was able to get my website working again with the older version of the plugin …

These are the only details I have … basically any page that was using the custom sidebars would show a pink box with the “Script Error” below …

    Has a fatal error:

    Script Error
An internal error happened in the script, please contact webmaster for details

    Hi @hypwoman,

    Thank you for your reply.

We can’t predict anything from the error message that you have shared as it is not descriptive.

Could you please share us the page URL where you are using the custom sidebar so that we can troubleshoot it?

Can you please try enabling WP_DEBUG mode? To do this, just go to wp-config.php include this:

    define('WP_DEBUG',true);

You might already have a line for WP_DEBUG, so just make sure it’s set to true.

For information on this, checkout this wpmu.org article.

Let me know what more error information if any you are getting!

This can also be plugin or theme conflict issue that you are using, to resolve it could you please try troubleshooting the issue as described by @david in his previous reply?

    Regards,
    WPMU DEV
