    I understand your concern about visitors being able to discover your files, but it’s not possible to restrict access to audio once you’ve decided to publish it online. You can jump through endless hoops to try to make it difficult, but there’s not anything you can do that will completely protect your files.

    What you can do is reduce the quality of mp3s to around 128kbs — which also makes them smaller, thereby decreasing bandwidth usage and making them faster to download — so people intent on grabbing them from your site won’t have the high quality versions. Otherwise, you can clip the length and publish samples, or add a watermark.
