• i just installed this plugin this morning. all day it has worked, and it’s overall an amazing and easy to use plugin. but this evening i got the message to upgrade my wordpress to 4.0, so i did. now i get the error message below, and not all the time, just some times and on my home page, where this plugin is not even used. i had to deactivate it because my site is pretty high traffic an i cannot have an error message.. but this is what i am getting after the upgrade, and again it’s not every time i visit the site. it’s sporadic.

FOLLOWUP I deactivated the plugin and then reactivated and got this wordpress error message:

“The plugin generated 1 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.”

It would appear that this plugin is not compatible with yesterday’s wordpress 4.0 release. If you upgrade wordpress you may not be able to use this plugin, yet.

hi, same problem. pls help. tq

i would recommend restoring your wordpress backup that you made before upgrading to 4.0 until the issue is resolved, if this plugin is vital to your website. i restored my wordpress backup because the page i use with this plugin is very popular on my site.

i just faced the same problem i just gone to cpanel and i checked the error_log which will be generated .

once check the wp-config.php if there is any space above the <?php remove it or else paste ur error_log here clearly

    Hello,
I am really sorry to hear that you are experiencing problems with the plugin. I would not be surprised to learn that there is a compatibility problem with the new WordPress release. Unfortunately, I have not been able to recreate any of the issues described here. If anyone figures out the issue or finds a solution, please let me know and I will put together an update.
    Best, Eric

Since my 4.0 upgrade… nothing is showing. Blank.

Yes, there is certainly a problem. I have downgraded my site back to the previous wordress because my “photo feed” is on a small beach tourist town news site and people love seeing images the tourists are taking around the city. I get over 5000 visitors to that page every day. I have not tried the recommendation of removing whitespace from the top of the config file because i have not had a window of opportunity to try this solution without disrupting my site. But try the recommendation of opening your wp-config and make sure there is no empty line at the top and see if the works… and tell us here if you can ??

I solved my issue by going into Add Instagram User in Settings and selected “Delete User.” Then, I re-add user, re-entered Client ID and Client Secret.

I am still having this issue. I tried deleting and re-adding the instagram account. No luck. Any other suggestions?

are you sure the plugin is up to date? Shortly after I posted my issues I noticed a new plugin update was released. I reactivated and haven’t had a problem since.

    I’m running version 1.2.7.3

I should also add I am trying to use this in the sidebar. It works if I insert the shortcode. Shouldn’t I be able to use this in the sidebar too?

Hello, I had also the same error but i dont have this plugin installed.
After the update of wp.. i had this error.
    I just re-installed version 4.0 .. and it works!
