What is the easiest way to get “blog by email” up and running? I get only rubbish text when trying to post a picture, because WP doesn’t decode base64 for some reason. Seems silly seeing as I have tried 3 means of emailing now, and they all use base64.

Any plugins that would help me get the job done, easily? I would prefer not hacking my files. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the suggestion, but I’ve already looked here. Anyone else who have had the same problem, and found a workaround?

    I have the same problem…

Would be nice if someone actually cared about this, 8 months is a long time to fix this?

    Upgrade to 2.3.1 doesnt help.

Blog by email is not something most people use. The support for it in WordPress is very basic.

I suggest using a plugin for this purpose. Postie is a popular one.

Sending pictures from cellphones via MMS becomes more and more popular.
I wanted my install of WP as basic as possible to make upgrading and easy task. but i guess i have to use third-party software to get this feature to work.

If they dont give a sh-t they should remove the feature all along since it produces more problems than happy users a.t.m
