This has only started happening since installing v4.0. When I go to edit a post, the scrollbar in the editing window appears very briefly then disappears. The only way to scroll down the page is to use to arrow keys or the PgDn/PgUp keys, or to go into full screen mode.

Is this something that was changed in v4.0 or is it something particular to me? Is there any way to resolve?

    Thanks.

  • Same happened with me after installing responsive video plugin. I am using wordpress 4 and I’ve a video on my website’s home page. It was working fine but when i’ve installed a video plugin the post editor expanded to full height of the post and scrollbars disappeared. This is happened after installing the video plugin. If i remove the plugin then editor is working fine.

I assumed that its fault of plugin but I’ve tried 3 different plugins but its happening with all video plugins. As soon as i activate the video plugin, post editor expand to full post height and scrollbars disappeared.

    Any advice please?

The new scrolling is a ‘feature’ of WP 4.0. Try turning it off by clicking on ‘Screen Options’ in the upper right of the edit screen and unchecking the box for ‘Expand the editor to match the window height.’
